Let’s Talk Benefits-Like, Actual Benefits

If you’ve ever squinted at your paycheck and wondered where your HSA or FSA funds go, here’s your answer: straight to smarter health choices. And yes, that includes Blossom.

What is an HSA/FSA Again?

Before we dive in:

  • HSA (Health Savings Account): A tax-free account tied to a high-deductible health plan.
  • FSA (Flexible Spending Account): A similar tax-free account offered by many employers.

In both cases, the funds are meant to be used for qualified medical expenses—and surprise! Personalized pelvic care (the kind Blossom delivers!) usually qualifies.

Is Blossom HSA/FSA Eligible?

Short answer: Yes, in most cases.

Blossom offers a medically guided pelvic floor therapy program designed by doctors of physical therapy. That means it often qualifies as a reimbursable medical expense under IRS Publication 502, especially when it's used to treat a specific condition (like incontinence, prolapse, postpartum healing, or painful sex).

Blossom is eligible when used to treat a diagnosed pelvic health condition - not just for general wellness. The good news? Most of our members do come to us for clinical reasons.

What You’ll Need: A Quick Checklist

Here’s how to make your Blossom experience officially HSA/FSA-approved:

1. Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) To qualify use of HSA/FSA, the IRS requires a note from a licensed healthcare provider. Don’t worry—we take care of that for you! Blossom has partnered with Flex to enable asynchronous telehealth visits as part of checkout. Within 24 hours of your purchase, Flex will email you both an itemized receipt.

2. Proof of Purchase (your Blossom receipt) Your receipt will include everything your plan needs: date of purchase, item description, and payment method.

3. Submission to Your Plan If needed based on your HSA/FSA, you’ll submit the LMN and receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator—usually through an online portal.

Wait, So Do I Pay Upfront?

Yes—you’ll pay upfront with your own card at checkout.

Tip: If your card is declined, the most common reason is insufficient funds. Reach out to your HSA/FSA administrator to confirm your balance amount.

What Conditions Make Me Eligible?

If you’ve been told you have:

  • Stress or urge incontinence
  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Diastasis recti
  • Painful sex
  • Postpartum recovery needs
  • Menopause-related pelvic changes

…just to name a few!

Real Talk: Why This Matters

Pelvic health is not a luxury—it’s healthcare. For far too long, support for postpartum, menopausal, and chronic pelvic issues has lived in the “nice-to-have” category. We’re here to flip that script.

Using your HSA/FSA funds for Blossom is a small act of reclaiming your health, your confidence, and your right to care that actually works!

Need Help or Have Questions?

We’ve got you! Email us at support@meetblossom.com, and we’ll walk you through getting started and answer any specific questions you may have.

One Last Thing

We strongly recommend checking with your HSA/FSA provider to see if the purchase is eligible prior to completion. If your plan denies reimbursement (it happens sometimes), don’t panic. We’ll provide documentation to help you appeal—just send over any response from your HSA/FSA provider so we can share it with Flex and receive guidance on next steps! Or if it’s denied, you can apply the cost toward your deductible, depending on your insurance.

TL;DR?

Blossom is HSA/FSA eligible when medically necessary! Check with your HSA/FSA provider prior to your tax-free purchase of Blossom’s pelvic care program!

Let’s make pelvic health accessible to all, one leak-free laugh at a time!
